◊ MIKE MILAM JOINS DENALI STATE BANK'S COMMERCIAL LENDING TEAM April 28, 2010 – Denali State Bank recently announced the appointment of Mike Milam as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Officer. In this position, Milam is directly responsible for managing the commercial banking department, including the origination of commercial loans and new business development.“I am very pleased to announce this appointment,” said Jo Heckman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Denali State Bank. “Mike brings an extensive amount of local commercial banking and lending experience to our team. He will be instrumental as we continue to enhance our commercial lending services for our customers in the greater Fairbanks area.” A longtime resident of Fairbanks, Milam has more than 40 years of industry experience, including 24 years in Fairbanks. Prior to joining Denali State Bank, he served as the statewide manager for commercial lending with Key bank.
◊ DENALI STATE BANK AWARDED FOR OUTSTANDING COMITTMENT TO PHILANTHROPY December 9, 2009 --- Denali State Bank received the Outstanding Small Business in Philanthropy Award on November 13, 2009, in Anchorage. Awarded by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Alaska, the goal is to honor an Alaskan business with fewer than 100 employees that demonstrate outstanding commitment through financial support and civic involvement. Thanks to the efforts of Denali State Bank, well over 100 organizations have received support, mostly in the form of hours spent volunteering. ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT AND APPOINTMENT AS DIRECTORS EMERITI OF BOARD MEMBERS JERRY KRIER AND ED CHRISTIANSEN May 13, 2009 --- Denali Bancorporation President and CEO, Jo Heckman, today announced that Ed Christiansen and Jerry Krier will both retire as members of Denali Bancorp’s Board of Directors as well as Denali State Bank Board of Directors but will remain active as Directors Emeriti.Ed Christiansen has served as an active member of Denali State Bancorp since 1986 and was a founding Director. Originally occupying the position of Secretary of the Board, he later served as Chairman of the Board from 1989 until 1994. As an active member of the Fairbanks community, Christiansen will continue to be available to the leadership of Denali State Bancorp and the bank in his role as a Director Emeritus. Jerry Krier was appointed to the Board in 1993. He maintained continual involvement with both the Audit and Investment Committee and Denali State Bank’s Loan committee. Krier is active in the Pioneers of Alaska. He will continue his stewardship as a Director Emeritus of the Bancorp and the bank. Founded in 1986, Denali State Bank currently has five branches throughout Fairbanks, including a branch in Tok Junction. The bank maintains its prominent role in the banking arena as a locally owned community bank, and provides a full range of financial services at each location.
