Position: New Accounts Specialist I

Status: Full-time, Non-exempt

Location:       Denali State Bank – Golden Heart Branch
                       1989 Airport Way
                       Fairbanks, AK 99701

Hours:            Rotating Schedule
                      Monday – Friday: 9:30am – 6:15pm
                      Saturday: 9:15am – 4:15pm

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service and performs all functions related to new accounts, certificates, IRA’s, etc. Additionally, the position serves as a back-up for the Teller line and will cross-train with the Teller team. This position provides opportunity to begin several career tracks within banking that may include Operations, Management, Lending, etc.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year experience in a customer service and/or cash handling role. Must be proficient with computers and basic mathematics. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Previous banking experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of items up to 40 pounds. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
