Teller / Branch Associate / Personal Banker 

Status:                        Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location:                    Denali State Bank – Chena Pump Branch
Work Schedule:         Monday – Friday, 9:15am – 6:15pm

Denali State Bank offers excellent training and career development in a wide range of job functions. Many team members begin their career as a Teller with much of their day being devoted to building customer relationships and helping our customers reach financial goals.  The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of experience with cash handling, customer service, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to interact well with others.
  • Interest in volunteerism and participating in community/bank sponsored events.

Mortgage Loan Officer or Trainee

Status:                         Full-Time

Location:                     Denali State Bank – Main Office

Work Schedule:          Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Pay:                            $45,000 - $85,000 salary DOE plus commission

The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and sells Denali State Bank mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals.  This is an outside sales role where the MLO continually identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.

Candidates with mortgage lending experience are preferred; however, the position offers an excellent training opportunity for those that possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities as obtained through a combination of education, training, and/or experience. 


  • At least 3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or equivalent preferred but not required.  Candidates without mortgage lending experience should demonstrate prior experience in the mortgage, banking, or sales related field.  Candidates must also possess the necessary skills and abilities in order to solicit and maintain customer relationships, sell products and services, and meet production goals and deadlines. 
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn state and federal regulations governing Real Estate Lending including FHA/VA guidelines and rules. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn mortgage loan processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
